Sokal had their annual Kickoff event at Car Space in Raleigh, North Carolina on February 15, 2024. Sokal holds this event annually to celebrate the previous year’s successes, communicate challenges, and get employees excited for the upcoming year.
This year's kickoff event featured breakfast tacos and a biscuit station alongside some playful games to connect people across different departments. These games encouraged people to work together in groups they may not have met previously, creating a great coworker bonding experience. The Kickoff is always a great way to see people step out of their comfort zone while getting to know others across Sokal.
Each department discussed its upcoming advancements for the new year, in this case, 2024, and what possible updates may be coming to each department. This can range from large-scale updates, like trying out TikTok’s new pilot program, to current employee promotions. Congratulations everyone!
NADA was also discussed and what takeaways we had from this year's attendance. There was a giveaway of some NADA Sokal swag that was a hit. Melissa, CEO of Sokal, led the kickoff with charisma and grace, allowing each department to take the stage with what exciting new things will be in store for 2024.

Overall, this year’s Sokal Kickoff was a complete success and a great way for employees to connect with each other and with the company. This transparency and appreciation is what makes Sokal a great place to work while bridging the gap between employee and employer.
