Five New Models in 2025

Written by Annika Bardaxis | Jul 31, 2024 7:46:29 PM

As 2025 models are already being discontinued, new model updates and redesigns are already being announced for the upcoming year. Similar to model discontinuations, vehicle model redesigns are announced yearly to further brand recognition, help sales on that particular model, and continue the model's life.

This out with the old, in with the new process is a simple encouragement to purchase a new vehicle with changes and improvements that deam it the latest and greatest. Though this is heavily considered a marketing tactic, there are also many other reasons why a manufacturer may want to consider a redesign.

The actual look of certain models is a large reason for redesigns, and why many people feel cars today all look the same, similar to cars from every decade. These design trends date cars no matter the era, and help push models towards redesigns especially when their sales have fallen or safety standards have changed. These redesigns can include styling updates like new paint colors, headlights, grilles, or updates to the interior.

Similarly to the literal car design being dated from trends, the actual corporations of car manufacturers may want to refresh their look to reflect changes in their brand identity. For example, some brands may be trying to shift their image to reflect a focus on lifestyle changes, advancements in technology, or even just trying to elevate their brand.

A huge example of this is none other than Kia. Kia completely shifted its branding with the simple change from their older red logo, to the modern/sleek new Kia emblem. With this shift, their corporate marketing also changed from playfully using singing hamsters to an extremely profitable luxury feeling, but still cost-efficient brand.

Whether you’re excited about model redesigns or not, they do happen every year, even if it's just for updates to other components, such as the engine, transmission, or infotainment system. This is reoccurring more often than not, similar to model discontinuations, due to the rise in new technology and an electric vehicle focus. Here is a list of five current models that have redesigns on the horizon for 2025:

  • 2025 Toyota Camry
  • 2025 Toyota 4Runner
  • 2025 Chevrolet Equinox
  • 2025 Ford Explorer
  • 2025 Subaru Forester

These popular models, along with many others are being updated for the upcoming year. If you have any interested in these models or want to learn more, contact your local dealership today!
